INCOTERMS

Incoterms were developed by the International Chamber of Commerce to establish international rules for the interpretation of trade terms. As trade increased in number and diversity, it became important to avoid misunderstandings based on an erroneous interpretation of terms governing international trade.

The new Incoterms 2010 came into effect on January 1^st, 2011.
